Book Wars
Book Wars will be meeting today during all lunches. Please stop and get a pass from the Media Center and bring your lunch to the meeting.
Gardening Club
Come learn basic survival skills and earn SSL hours with Garden Club today Thursday November 1 after school as they harvest the sweet potatoes that have been growing at GMS since Garden Club planted them back in June! Come help us celebrate our bounty! Meet in the cafeteria. After the sweet potato harvest, Garden Club will be meeting next on November 8, 2018.

There will be no volleyball after school today.
Earn Student Service Learning hours as you grow your interest in plants and nature with the Gardening Club. They will meet today to harvest sweet potatoes.

SGA Pennies for Patients The SGA is conducting a penny drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. This organization collects money to further research efforts for people with blood cancers. The SGA will be collecting coins and online donations. Our school donation site is also listed on the GMS website for more information.
MCPS Math Progress Checks
The GMS math department will be giving the MCPS Math progress check this week. This will impact your students with extended time accommodations. The new guideline for administering progress check states that students with extended time need to finish their progress check in one sitting. Please excuse these students as they may miss portion of your class that day.
IM (7th graders and some 6th grader) – Tuesday, Oct 30th
Math 6 (6th graders) – Wednesday, Oct 31st
Algebra (7th and 8th graders) – Friday, Nov 2nd
