All-County West Honors Band

Congratulations to the following 7th and 8th grade students for recording an audition and being accepted into the All-County West Honors Band! Students will have 3 long compacted rehearsals and will be performing in a concert this Saturday evening, December 1 at Richard Montgomery High School at 7:30PM. (Their first rehearsal was snowed out November 15, but they were able to schedule a make-up.)

These students passed the audition, but had conflicts with the rehearsal schedule.

After School Activities

Jazz Band today Tuesday November 27th AND Thursday the 29th.

Bocce and Volleyball after school activities have ended.

Honor Roll and Straight A students

Congratulations to our GMS Quarter 1 Honor Roll and Straight A students! We will be having Honor Roll Celebrations during Viking Time and the Straight A Pizza Lunch Celebration next week!

We need parents to help serve during Honor Roll treats and Straight A pizza lunches!

Honor Roll (this includes straight A) Celebrations will be as follows:

• Tuesday December 4 – 6th Grade Honor Roll Celebration – 10:30 to 11:10

• Wednesday December 5 – 7th Grade Honor Roll Celebration – 10:30 to 11:10

• Thursday December 6 – 8th Grade Honor Roll Celebration – 10:30 to 11:10

Straight A Pizza lunch celebrations will be on Friday December 7th – during lunch periods:

• 6th Grade Lunch – 12:30 to 1:15

• 7th Grade Lunch – 11:45 to 12:30

• 8th Grade Lunch – 11:00 to 11:45

Gift Card Raffle

We would also like to have a gift card raffle for our GMS students during each of the honor roll and straight A celebrations!! If you are able to donate a gift card valued at $5 or $10 to subway, 7-11, Starbucks etc. please send in to front office in an envelop labeled GMS PTA Honor Roll/Straight A – attention Kari Primozic.
