Winter Warm Up
This is a PTA sponsored event. We need other parents to help keep watch over our wonderful children. Please sign up on our signup genius to help.Volunteers needed for our Winter Warm up on February 28th from 3 pm to 5 pm.
If you are having trouble accessing our sign up genius you may call, text or email if you would like to volunteer: Sam Coleman 202-437-3350, gmspta3@gmail.com
As of now we only have three volunteers. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help. We need more volunteers to make this a success. We sold many tickets yesterday during their lunch shifts and our/your kids are very excited about Thursday's dance.
I will be at school in the cafeteria selling tickets TODAY during all three lunch shifts if you would like to stop by and help.
Tickets are $3.00 and include two slices of pizza and a bottle of water. Candy and sodas will be on sale for $1.00
Our tickets are pre-sold for this dance during each lunch shift. Please provide $3.00 for your child to purchase a ticket during lunch Wednesday and Thursday. Over 800 kids have attended each of the last two years.
Students who take the late bus will leave the dance at 4:15pm. Everyone else will leave when the dance ends at 5pm.
Sandwich Making
The Minority Scholars will hold a sandwich making party on Thursday, March 7th. The sandwiches will go towards feeding local families in need. We are asking for donations of wheat bread, peanut butter and grape or strawberry jelly. Please drop off your donations in the designated box in the main office by March 5th. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
